Sustainability of a biogas system after installation is entirely a responsibility of the biogas user, many households need Post-Installation Support as they take on the ‘new’ technology. They need to realize their expectations, otherwise, they will talk negative about the technology.
At Green Heat, we developed a Customer satisfaction survey questionnaire, which we provide to our new biogas users. The users are expected to responded to the questions at the end of each month for a period of six months. Every month, the filled out questionnaire is picked assessment.
We analyze the data provided, that way we are able to learn from our clients how they feel about the biogas system. We finally arrange for follow-up visits or phone call conversation with our clients.
This is a time consuming exercise for our clients, however, it builds confidence and empowers biogas users to manage the biogas plant. In the long run, we envisage this exercise to increase biogas uptake in Uganda.
