    since decades our institute has been working in the field of improving agriculture in Africa. The main topic and idea was the production of veterinary bacterial vaccines by a special technology now known as IBT bioreactor technolgy. The veterinary vaccine production in Zambia started abaot 20 years ago including the production of rhizobium i.,e, nitrogen fixating bacteria as biofertilizer. About 10 years ago we were asked to help in the field of producing charcoal from biomass in order to further increase income and livelyhood for farmers. As an Ugandan initiative we developped a project called Bic Char which, unfortunately, did not receive the appropriate support of Ugandan scientists and politicians. However we feel that your idea of producing biogas from waste and our idea producing coal from green staff like water hyacinths together with production of biofertilier to save the environment would be an interesteing project. Our technolgy makes it possible to produce phosphorus solubilzing bacteria as well, in order to save phosphorus fertilizer as well..
    As you might see there could be a complete package for the environment of the rural population by a cooperation of interetsed partners. Our institute was a former university institute and is now considered as a NGO.
    I would be glag to receive a reply if you feel it possible to create a joint venture.
